Just in time for the holidays, Silent Sifter 2.0.1 has been released in the Mac App Store.
Now with drag and drop, multiple iPhoto library support, automatic Camera addition, and a few bug fixes, Silent Sifter is more flexible, stable, and easier to use than ever with v2.0.1.
Here is a summary of the changes you will see:
Drag and Drop
Setting up Silent Sifter to organize your photos and videos is easier than ever, with drag and drop support for configuring your inputs and outputs. Just drag a folder or Library file from Finder into Silent Sifter, and it will automatically appear as an input or output, depending on where you drop it. You can drag folders/files into either the ‘home’ screen or the ‘configure’ screen, and drop into either the input or output sections depending on your preference.
Multiple iPhoto Libraries
Add as many iPhoto Libraries as you want, as inputs, outputs, and at any location. Now you can easily separate files into separate iPhoto libraries, and filter which files go to each library, using Silent Sifter filters.
Automatic Addition of Cameras as Inputs
When you connect a camera to your Mac, Silent Sifter will now automatically add the Camera as an input, so you don’t have to go through the tedious process. If you don’t want this behavior, you can easily disable it in the preferences.
Other Enhancements and Fixes
- Remote volumes (i.e. network share folders) will now attempt to autoconnect, unless disabled in preferences.
- Added support for Mountain Lion Notification Center.
- Resolved issue of advanced configuration screen becoming unreadable on OSX Mountain Lion.
- Resolved issue of metadata index being lost on some systems due to missing cache folders.
- Resolved issue of progress bar estimate time remaining incorrect for operations of more than 1 hour.
